A video call on Snapchat became a $500 blackmail demand
i’m literally shaking right now. i met this girl on bumble and we moved to snapchat and things got... heated. we did a video call and it was fine but as soon as we hung up she sent me a link.
it’s a video of me. the whole call. and she sent a screenshot of my followers list from my ig. she’s demanding $500 in crypto or she says she’s sending it to my mom and my coworkers. i don't even have $50 in my account right now let alone 500. i blocked her but she keeps making new accounts and messaging me. what do i do?? is this real?? am i ruined??
If this is happening to you
Practical steps for this exact situation.
- Someone is threatening to share private photos of youSextortion is almost always a numbers game run from a script. What to do, what not to do, and why the threat is usually not carried out.
- Random players are adding you on League, then moving you to Discord. Here's what they want.A stranger compliments your game, adds you, then asks to keep talking on Discord. Sometimes photos follow. Here is what that approach usually is, and what to do before you reply.
